Ancestry

I've been using Ancestry.com to put mine and my husband's family tree together. WOW, one of his relatives goes back to the 900's! Of course, nothing is absolute, and it could not be true, but it lines up, so, I'm taking it.

My family name line only goes back, officially, to about 1779. Before that it is in England and I haven't found anything prior to this person.

So, for Father's and Mother's Day, I'm putting together binders for my in-laws to keep. Since it's my husband's family, and we have no children, they can decide who gets it, eventually.  My MIL 91 and my FIL is 96. We hope he makes it to 100, at least! That would be so AWESOME.

I am SO frustrated. I know that there are thousands of people also looking for work, but wouldn't you think with ALL the looking and interviews that I've been on SOMEONE would hire me long term or permanent? I'm great at computers. Very friendly. Great work ethic. Had job stability (until I got laid off due to restructuring), still nothing!  I get "THIS CLOSE" and they give it to someone else. I'm hoping that by venting here (since no one's ever read this besides me anyway) that maybe something will come through now. If anyone ever sees this please keep me in your prayers. Thanks.

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting

YEAH, I have a temp job coming up but the place isn't "ready" for us yet. I'm waiting "patiently", but hurry up already...

Now, just to pass the tests! Still no luck on the job search!! Anyone out there need a Fantastic Admin Assistant? Uh, like ME??

Finally taking classes

I was approved by the powers that be to take the computer classes that I've been wanting. So, I took my first on on Tuesday and, since I live in the Midwest, we postponed the second one till Thursday. However, our driveway is STILL not plowed out, so, I missed it. (Yes, I CAN reschedule. My hubby will have to take ANOTHER vacation day waiting for the people to come. Yes, I really do understand they are busy, but just give me a realistic time you'll be here. Not 2-3AM!!!

Interview, I believe, went well

The interview, I believe, went well. I also have a possibility for a contract position, in another company IF the FT position doesn't come through. Looks like things are FINALLY opening up. YESSS!!!
